The lesson of Art for me is that it needs to have an element of instinct that isn't about intelligence. When creating something you don't have to have a point , that can come later. I only care about the moment the brush hits the surface and something true , ugly , or necessary forces it's way into existence. This is the real thing. My work is not decorative or safe . It does not hang politely above a sofa. When critics try to categorize me, they fail. I have painted on walls that were not mine to paint on. I have sold Art for cash in parking lots at 2am. I have disappeared for months only to return with a new series that makes collectors nervous and dealers rich. Approach with caution and buy if you dare.
